The music of Sekhar Kammula's film Avakai Biryani took place in a unique manner at Hotel Taj Deccan, Hyderabad.

The film made on Amigos Creations banner has Anish Kurivilla as the director. Kamal Kamaraju and Bindhu Madhavi do the lead pair as six-seater auto driver and pickle selling girl respectively.

Imax Ramesh Prasad released the audio cassette, presenting the first album to producer Sekhar Kammula. The latter released the audio CD and gave to the former. Interestingly, the guests and the media who attended the audio release were served with nine different types of biryani, both veg and non-veg, besides pickle.

Anish Kuruvilla thanked Sekhar Kammula for giving him an opportunity as director. He went into nostalgic mood, recalling his association with Kammula since the days of Dollar Dreams. "I met Sekhar a decade ago and expressed my desire to work with him as assistant director. Later, I worked with him as production executive. He could spot my talent and offered me this project. I am happy to announce that the lead pair and most of the technicians of this film are Telugu people. It is because of the cooperation of Sekhar that we could successfully finish our outdoor shoot in rough terrains."

Sekhar said that the present day generation has a clear cut approach toward the entertainment. "I am amazed to find that the audiences are supporting the small films and turning them into blockbusters. All this definitely needs the quality content and right execution. The subject of Avakai Biryani is that of intellectual in nature. The story also reflects the hopes of the people living in rural areas. I am happy that we have a Telugu heroine."

The movie is set for release in November. It has music by debutant Manikanth Kadri. - (moviebuzz)
