Pomp and gaiety at Chandamama 100 Days 

The 100 days function of Chandamama, a Krishnavamsi-directed film on Teja Cinema banner with C Kalyan as producer was held at Durgamcheruvu amidst all the unit members and their family members. Union minister Dr. Dasari Narayana Rao attended the event as the chief guest, while the other prominent guests included state ministers Botsa Satyanarayana, Anam Ramnarayan Reddy and Maganti Babu, Dr. Mohan Babu, hero Rajasekhar couple, Tammareddy Bharadwaja and KS Rama Rao. Heroes Sivabalaji and Navdeep; and heroines Sindhu Menon and Kajal remained centre of the attraction at the event. Fireworks and erection of an illuminated balloon-moon enthralled one and all.  

Dr. Dasari said: "The success of Chandamama and its 100 days function is the first festival for Kalyan. My association with him dates back to three decades ago. Kalyan and MS Reddy are the sort of persons who are more bothered about their colleagues in the industry rather than gauzing their own positions. That's why, they didn't have hit films with them. Kalyan has come from the ground level. He is the true representative of small producers. I can never forget the regard Krishnavamsi showed toward me. One such occasion was his stubbornness with which he opposed and boycotted a publication for doing disregard to me. Coming to Radhakrishna, I like him very much."  

The dignitaries on the dais distributed the shields and mementos to all the unit members. 

Dr. Mohan Babu said: "This is for the first time that I am attending a 100 Days function other than that of my banner. There is a small sentiment attached to my coming here. A good friend of mine from Talamanchi village in Nellore district brought Kalyan and introduced to me and I introduced him to the film industry. He started his life with a small beginning, but today became a good producer. I saw the film Chandamama, and felt in my heart of hearts to do a role in such a fine film. All the cast came out with extraordinary performance. I extend my good wishes to Kalyan and all the unit members on this occasion."  

Anam Ramnarayan Reddy said that he felt happy to have a Nellorian like C Kalyan in the position of a good producer.  

C. Kalyan thanked Dr. Mohan Babu for introducing him to the film industry. "So far, I have done 30 films, but this 100 days function is the first successful function in my career. Dr. Dasari Narayana Rao supported me all through my career."  

Krishna Vamsi appreciated Kalyan for his ready acceptance to a film with "me", without caring for the story and star cast. It shows his respect for and belief in the director. "For my entire dare in the field, I owe it to Dasari."
