Triple platinum disc fete of "Dhee"

The triple platinum disc function of "Dhee", a Seenu Vytla-Vishnu movie, is held at Mallikarjuna 70 MM at Kukatpally, Hyderabad tonight (May 23 ^rd). The starlit gathering included hero Vishnu, real star Srihari, Brahmanandam, Sunil, director Seenu Vytla, SV Krishna Reddy, producer Mallidi Satyanarayana Reddy, Cameraman Prasad, music director Chakri, V. Sagar and others. The function witnessed thumping response from the houseful audience who enjoyed the presence of the film stars at the interval. The movie has completed its 41 ^st day of run and heading towards 50 days. The speakers at the event expressed confidence that the film would sure run for 100 days, and appreciated the efforts of music director Chakri for scoring hit music and background score for the film.

Brahmanandam, who played the hilarious Chari role in the film, said that the success of the film was completely the result of mouth publicity. "Success of Dhee is perfect example of mouth publicity. Seenu Vytla deserves the entire credit. It has given big break to Vishnu as hero."

SV Krishna Reddy made the popular phrase "Nannu Involve Cheyyakandi" a buzz word at the theatre. He wished that the movie would complete 100 days and offers excellent career to Vishnu. Directors Association President V. Sagar said that he felt happy to see Seenu Vytla, his assistant, as one of the top directors in the industry.

Director Seenu Vytla thanked the audience for their steadfast support and patronage to the film. "Mouth publicity played a major role. The audience became the real promoters of the film."

There was profuse hoots and clapping in the theatre when Sunil rose to speak. He thanked Seenu Vytla and producer Mallidi Satyanarayana Reddy for giving him a full-length character in the film, which gave him much scope to do fine comedy. "I am happy that Vishnu got the break with this film. He will become a very big hero in the future."

Srihari, who played the Shankar Gowd in the film, thanked the audience. He expressed special thanks to V. Sagar for his remarks that he (Srihari) looked handsome in the film. "I lifted Vishnu with my hands when he was a child. Now, he would lift me. I am very happy Vishnu got excellent break."

A beaming Vishnu profusely thanked the gathering at the theatre. "It is you (the audience) who made Dhee a stupendous hit. At first, my confidence in the film's success was bleak. But the days that followed proved that mouth publicity is the best publicity. I will never forget the support of the audience." He further expressed gratitude to Dasari Narayana Rao, who he termed as "the head of our family", his father Dr. Mohan Babu and director Seenu Vytla for the successful release of the film, after facing lot of problems.

Sagar and SV Krishna Reddy presented the Triple Platinum discs to the cast and crew of "Dhee" present on the specially erected stage in front of the screen.
