The music of Pandurangadu, the latest film of Nandamuri Balakrishna, was released at the premises of Lord Panduranga Swamy temple at Chilakalapudi near Machilipatnam in Krishna district.

The film made on RK Associates is directed and produced by K. Raghavendra Rao, who is known for his mythological films. Balakrishna makes a dual role in the film as mortal Panduranga and divine Krishna. Sneha, Tabu, Suhasini and Veda are doing the female leads. Senior director and artiste K. Viswanath and Sivaparvati are doing the parents to Balakrishna. Music is by MM Keeravani. Nearly two lakh people thronged the venue and participated in the function. Popular news channels had telecast the event live.

Speaking on this occasion, Balakrishna said: "I am happy to do this film. Fifty one years ago, my father NTR created history with Panduranga Mahatyam. Now this film Pandurangadu would entertain all sections of the audiences and more so the fans of Nandamuri family." The fans showed their affection for the star by putting on a giant garland on him. The film is tentatively set for release on May 30.
