Sekhar Suri's new thriller titled THREE
|
The latest venture of thriller-savvy Sekhar Suri, starring Rajiv Kanakala, Rishi and Urvashi Sharma in the lead roles is given a Hollywood-like title Three. The event was held at Club Jayabheri, outskirts of city on Monday night. Made on Raj Entertainments India Private Limited banner, the film is produced by GS Babu and Phani Raj. Director Sekhar Suri took almost six to eight months for planning and execution of the project in various lonely and forest locations in the deep forests of Araku and Vikarabad. Directors SS Rajamouli, Gunnam Gangaraju and BV Ramana (of Ontari fame) unveiled the logo and expressed their confidence in the capabilities of Sekhar Suri as a highly successful director of thrillers on a par with Hollywood standards. The event organizers created exciting moments for the gathering, frequently switching off the lights at the venue. Anchor Suma began the programme, giving a hoot of a fox. SS Rajamouli said Sekhar Suri already won the game when he roped in Senthil Kumar as cinematographer for his film. "Senthil gave me the feedback of the film's shoot, saying that it has chilling scenes with high-standard graphics, believable and yet unbelievable to the audience-eye. Sekhar initiated the difficult trend of thrillers in Telugu film industry with his A Film By Arvind, which became a big inspiration to many a director later. This film Three will even become a bigger hit than his previous film." When Sivabalaji, who came as guest, said that he visited the sets of the film during its shoot at Ramoji Film City and saw Rajiv Kanakala in a different get-up, director Sekhar felt tense, fearing that the story would be leaked. However, nothing of the sort happened. Later, three heroes Rajiv Kanakala, Dasari Arun Kumar and Siva Balaji released the trailers of the film. Two trailers screened to the gathering received great response. One with flash-cuts, showing terrific scenes to a gripping music and the other with slow but pining background score really thrilled the gathering, who shouted – Repeat, Repeat. The second trailer ended with a chilling scene. A black cobra in its full hood watches a jeep passing by it by about three-inch breadth. Finally, Sekhar Suri addressed the gathering. "For the first time in the history of Telugu film industry, we used the balloon light facility for shooting purpose in the thick jungles of Araku and Vikarabad. Especially, I thank Senthil Kumar, my cinematographer, for his commitment and dedication to the project. Though he is a busy and top technician, he is all friendly with me and held confidence in my work. Definitely, he gave the output, which is in no way second to Hollywood standards. He is going to create history with this film." Referring to the title, Sekhar Suri said interesting things. "While shooting the film in forest, I happened to see a villager. I scribbled the word Three and asked him whether he could get it. He immediately said Three; another person said Theen. Then I got the confidence that this title will catch up with all segments of the audiences. We are planning to release the film in June." |
