Abhay Deol’s glass apart act

MUMBAI, MAY 10 (INDIATIMES MOVIES) Actor Abhay Deol finds himself increasingly living on the edge while shooting for Anurag Kashyap. The director loves every scene to be as realistic as possible, and while shooting for the film Dev.D , Kashyap required Abhay to break a wine glass that he was supposed to be holding in his hand. The action director had planned the break in advance and had taped the necessary wires, which were needed to trigger the glass break. This is the usual norm in such action sequences.
But during the time of shoot, Anurag smartly exchanged the wired glass with a ordinary one. Abhay, unaware of this, went on to perform the scene, and even hurt himself a little. We aren't too sure if such risks should be applauded, but Abhay didn't seem to mind. In fact Kashyap tells us, "After seeing the recorded shot, Abhay was so impressed that he was actually game to give another take if required and break the glass with his bare hands all over again." Bravo, we say!
