‘Banam’ director tries for ‘Basanti’ !

Basanti is one of the most popular names in Indian cinema. In the iconic film Sholay, Hema Malini played the role of ‘Basanti, a horse-carriage driver that went to win cult status. Now, the name itself is basis for a Telugu film to be directed by Chiatanya Dantaluri. This youngster shot to fame with his first film, Banam, is now set to direct his second film with this title. In fact, he was to direct this film with Nikhil as hero for his maiden venture but it didn’t take place.
After winning praises for this first film, Banam, he is reviving the same project but he refuses to divulge the details. Stay tuned for this space for details of cast and other crew members.
