Bhookailas…preview
Shiva Nageswar Rao is a
director who learnt the art of handling humour with a touch of wit and satire.
He is good at picturising situational comedy without taking recourse to
slap-stick. These are the precise reasons for expecting chest-thumping laugh
riot from his ‘Bhookailas’ slated for release on 25 th May. Produced by
B.Gurunatha Reddy, the film has Venu Madhav, Gowri Munjal, Suhasini and Mumaith
Khan. The music is composed by Keeravani-Rohit Raj.
The story deals with the odd
consequence of a windfall. Rags to Riches is a time tested success formula for
films. But Bhookailas is the story of a below the poverty line character
becoming a billionaire over night. Venu Madhav is a small time milk vendor
having two buffaloes and two acres of worthless arid land in the outskirts of
the Twin Cities. Because of the sudden spurt in land prices and the galloping
real estate boom, our milk vendor becomes e crore-pathy by selling his land.
Now ‘Bhoo{earth} turns into Kailas{heaven}.
The director says the entire
movie is packed with high-decibel laughter from scenes some of which are
inspired by real life incidents that took place in and around Hyderabad particularly in the wake of the
outer ring road driven sky-rocketing land appreciation spiral. Venu Madhav is
believed to have given a sterling performance as a comedy hero..
