Dress lands Mallika in trouble with Hindu group

Actress Mallika Sherawat has found herself in the middle of a controversy once again.
This time, it’s over the dress she wore for the music release of Kamal Hassan’s Dasavatharam last week in Chennai.
On Thursday, an activist of the Hindu Makkal Katchi, Kanirajan, submitted a petition against the actress stating that her dress and behaviour at the event — where Chief Minister M Karunanidhi was also present — hurt the sentiments of Tamils.
In the past, the Hindu Makkal Katchi had filed a petition over actress Shriya Saran’s choice of dress at the silver jubilee celebrations of the film Sivaji: The Boss.
They also raised a hue and cry over a picture of actress Khushboo seated with her slippers in front of an idol of Hindu deities Lakshmi, Saraswathi and Parvathi, at a film muhurat. — IBN News
