The movie version of J.K Rowling’s fifth installment about the young boy wizard topped the box office, beating Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End,  which landed at second spot grossing more than 42.2 million pounds. Shrek the Third,’bagged the third position after taking in excess of 38.6 million pounds last year. The fourth spot went to The Simpsons Movie,  which raked in more than 38 million pounds. Rounding off the top five was Spider-Man 3, which grossed more than 33 million pounds in 2007.
