London, July 24 (IANS) Christian Bale reportedly lost his temper when his sister asked for money to help raise her three children.
According to thesun.co.uk, Bale’s sister Sharon needed 100,000 pounds. When she asked him to lend her the amount, he "pushed and shoved" her and his mother as well.
A source associated with the case said: "Bale is a very wealthy young man and was asked to help his sister out financially. He was asked to loan her 100,000 pounds, but he refused and that caused an almighty row. During that row, the women claim, he assaulted them by pushing and shoving them.
"Both Jenny and Sharon are terribly upset over what happened. They did not want any publicity and the last thing they wanted to do was wreck his premiere evening. But they say he bullied them. They are both devastated that it has come to this but want him to be taught a lesson."
In an interview before his film "The Dark Knight" was released, Bale admitted he has a bad temper.
Bale admitted that he was a difficult person to live and work with. He also seems to be having some problems with his wife.
Jimmy Page snub might affect Led Zeppelin reunion:
London, July 24 (IANS) Singer Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin is upset with former bandmate Jimmy Page for not mentioning his name in his acceptance speech at the MOJO Honours ceremony. Now their reunion might be off for good, reports thesun.co.uk.
Plant could not attend the ceremony because he was touring with singer Alison Krauss and Page accepted the award for Best Live Act on band’s behalf. Page gave a long acceptance speech but did not mention Plant even once.
A source said: "Robert was really disappointed that he didn’t merit a mention. The award was for the band’s performance, so he thought he should have at least been thanked."
Led Zeppelin members disbanded in 1980 shortly after drummer John Bonham’s death. Page and Plant have since reunited and occasionally go on tour together. The four member band also had John Paul Jones.
Ronnie Wood wants to keep both mistress and wife:
London, July 24 (IANS) Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood claims he wants to save his marriage but also wants to keep seeing his Russian girlfriend Ekaterina Ivanova.
Thesun.co.uk reports that Wood is in rehab and told fellow patients: "I love my wife, but I have a girlfriend and I love her too."
Wood is seeking treatment for alcohol, drug and sex addiction and his wife Jo has refused to visit him. She is still distraught about her husband’s affair with Ivanova.
A source said: "He’s on the Full Monty here - he’s being treated for everything. He isn’t allowed a phone or any contact with the outside world for now. He is having open therapy sessions and explained he has a wife and a girlfriend and that he loves them both. It’s very strange but it’s just how he sees it. He’s looking a lot better and is very chipper."
Wood is seeking his family’s support. After his affair was revealed, he told his staff that he would need at least six weeks to get over his problems.
The source added: "He thinks the whole affair scenario has been blown out of proportion, but that’s part of his problem."
Meanwhile Ivanova was spotted reading a love note which could have been from him.
The handwritten note said: "Know that I’m thinking lovely things about you." She was spotted smiling as she read the note walking outside her home with a friend.
The note said at the bottom: "It’s hard work in here."
‘Winehouse’s problems like Jackson, Hendrix’:
London, July 24 (IANS) Rapper Nelly has compared the problems of British singer Amy Winehouse, whose drug addiction has taken a toll on her health and who is suffering from emphysema, to those of Michael Jackson and guitar legend Jimi Hendrix who died when he was just 27.
"Music is what it is, because she goes through what she goes through. You look at Jimi Hendrix, you look at Michael Jackson, these are the greats, this is what happens," Nelly was quoted as saying by ananova.com.
