Indian Men’s team reaches final round of World Cup Stage IV Archery Meet

Kolkata, Aug 6 :Indian men’s team Wednesday finished third to qualify for the World Cup Stage IV Archery Championship . Indian team comprising Jayanta Talukdar, Mangal Singh Chsampia and Rahul Banerjee came behind South Korea and France at the qualifying round of the meet being held at Sanghai, China .
Secretary of Archery Association of India, Paresh Mukherjee said in the qualifying round India , till 72 arrows out of the total 144 arrows, was at the second position after South Korea , but finally settled for the third spot. The result in the Olympic round, where the competition would be restricted to 12 arrows, would be final.
“The qualifying round for the women team will be held Thursday. Indian women team is represented by Dola Banerjee, Rimil Burily and Pratima Boro ,” Mukherjee said.–TI
