Actor Kamal Haasan appeared at a court in Chennai on Thursday over a complaint lodged in regard to his upcoming Dasavatharam. A lesser-known assistant director in Kollywood Senthil Kumar resorted to legal complaint against the actor’s Dasavatharam, alleging that it was a plagiarized version of his script. 
 
Oscar Films Ravichandran produces this high-budget film, starring Kamal Hassan in 10 different roles. The script is written by Kamal and director K S Ravikumar directs the flick. According to the producer, this film is nearing its final stage of shooting and slated for Diwali release.  
 
Kamal Haasan made his court appearance on Thursday, contending that no plagiarism was resorted to in the movie. He stated that it was his own story. Kamal Haasan and his lawyers appeared before the Judge and aired out their versions. Also they agreed to submit an English version of the script of Dasavatharam. 
 
The actor-director said that he had been in the industry for the past few decades and won several awards and acclaims and that he found no need to lift the stories of others. Meanwhile, a big gathering of Kamal’s fans thronged the venue to have a glance at their icon.
