‘What’s Kangana’s problem?’ - Jiah Khan
Sunday, August 24th, 2008 at 12:45 am
Jiah Khan is ready to talk. Not about her film Ghajini and co-star Aamir Khan, but about controversies.

Like her straight hair. “My hair is naturally straight, I did not straighten it for any film or to look different from anyone. The curly look was acquired for my first film Nishabd. I had to braid my hair to get those curls. And I maintained that look, so people thought that it was natural,” says Jiah, defensively tossing her long, silky tresses.

Look different from whom, Kangana Ranaut? Is it true that Jiah is aping Kangana and has stolen her designer Rick Roy? “I don’t know what problem Kangana has with me. The funniest thing is I have never met her,” reveals Jiah, adding unhappily, “I’ve lived my whole life in London, studied there, I shop in London, my clothes are different, whereas Kangana comes from some part in India, we are just so different, I can’t understand how we can be compared. I don’t know why people spend so much time and energy on such trivial issues, but I’m not ready to.”

Her career is going good. Her first film was opposite Amitabh Bachchan and the next is with Aamir Khan. Will she work with Ram Gopal Verma, who discovered her, again? “I don’t mind,” she answers. “Touchwood, I’ve got to work with the cream of Bollywood and hope it continues,” wishes Jiah fervently. She’s working with Shahid Kapoor next. There were reports that she had a crush on him. To which the sexy starlet denies, “Every young girl likes him, they find him sweet, and he’s a wonderful co-star to work with.” But if it’s not Shahid, then there’s someone else Jiah has most certainly lost her heart to. To which she says naughtily, “In my head I’m single!”
