Krishnam Raju gave a dressing down to director

Rebel star Krishnam Raju is now fighting for the Lok Sabha on the Praja Rajyam ticket from Rajamundry. He is facing the TDP nominee actor Murali Mohan and the congress nominee, the sitting MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar.
Krishnam Raju came up with a new film on his Gopikrishna Movies banner after a gap of nearly 15 years. The film Billa raised a lot of expectations as a result. The star studded line up – Prabhas, Anushka, Namitha, Krishnam Raju and a item song by Hansika Motwani was seen as a recipe for a surefire winner.
But director Mehar Ramesh showed more interest in props like big cars, helicopters, chases etc than on the story. As a result, the big budget film flopped. Mehar Ramesh is said to have suggested to Krishnam Raju to make a sequel to Billa in order to help distributors who lost money on the film.
Krishnam Raju is reported to have given a dressing down to Mehar Ramesh. He is reported to have asked him – how can you even think of making a sequel to a flop film? Sequels are made only for successful films.
