Hyderabad, July 4 (TNN): The Telugu Desam MLA, Mr T V Rama Rao case of Kovvur Assembly segment on Saturday took a new turn with five more girls from Kerala complaining to the Home Minister Smt Sabitha Indra Reddy alleging harassment at Nursing Institute run by him.
The parents of the Kerala students on Saturday met the Home Minister and explained to her the harassment they suffered at the Institute. The five Kerala students along with their parents—Neetumal Joy, A L Dhana lakshmi, Neetu Sailajan, Nimisha Jacob and Leena complained to the Home Minister against T V Rama Rao.
The Home Minister assured to take legal action against him and said a case had been registered and an investigation was underway to unravel the truth by CB-CID.
The Minister said when doubts were raised about the alleged rape and murder of a nursing student at a Nursing Institute run by Mr Rao, it was natural to hand over the case to the CB-CID police.
Mr Rao is fishing in troubled waters after the rape incident on June 18 at Nidadavolu in West Godavari District of AP.
The TDP leaders alleged that rivals of MLA Ramarao and Congress leaders were behind the attack against nursing college.
The MLA said he was being persecuted because he was a Dalit and became MLA for the first time defeating his Congress rival.
There was neither a victim of murder nor a complaint lodged by her family members, yet the case was being pursued. His wife and the nursing college students too said he was innocent.
