P R Dasmunsi admitted to AIIMS; condition serious

NEW DELHI[TNN]: Information and broadcasting minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi was admitted to AIIMS following a severe heart problem early Monday morning.
"He had a complete left ventricular failure of the heart when he was admitted," said AIIMS spokesman Y K Gupta. "He is under observation. The next few hours are critical," he added.
Dasmunsi, 62, was admitted to cardiology department around 2.30am. He had severe breathlessness and lung congestion, doctors said. He was first taken to the casualty wing and after his condition stabilized, he was admitted to coronary care unit (CCU).
Doctors looking after him said his condition was serious and he had been put on a ventilator. This is the second time in three months that Dasmunsi has suffered a heart attack. He had undergone angioplasty in Kolkata in July.
"His vital organs are stable but his condition is serious," a doctor said.
