R Madhavan’s hooked to ‘Teen Patti’ tricks

MUMBAI, MAY 19 (INDIATIMES MOVIES) Stars are known for their larger-than-life attitudes which often see them speeding down the fast lane to nowhere. And the newest Indian actor to have jumped on to this bandwagon is none other than R Madhavan.
But before you think that the actor is indulging into any kind of extravaganza to the point of abuse, let us clear it for you. The actor who has replaced Arshad Warsi in the flick ‘Teen Patti’ is just trying to be a thorough professional. To do justice to his role in the film that also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Sushmita Sen, Maddy is learning some gambling tricks from regulars at the club.
Now while it is not novel in B-town to spend time with real-life characters to perform reel-life roles, what is amusing that teen patti is essentially an Indian game while director Leena Yadav (who once directed the disastrous ‘Shabd’) has hired not one but five foreign gamblers to teach Madhavan tricks of the trade. So while we don’t know how this will work for Maddy and his character, we can be confident that the boy will definitely pick up some super ‘phoren’ accent and start rolling all those roulette ‘r’s in the company of his new tutors.
