Sanju baba, as he’s popularly known in the industry, is considered to be a kid at heart and someone who trusts people implicitly. "Such is his character, that even if 10 people put him down, he will still trust the next 10 who come his way," says Pankaj Khanna, his ex-manager. That’s Sanjay Dutt for you. But, the star has gone through many trials and tribulations in life. Everything from his traumatic past to how he came to terms with it will be aired on Bollywood Case Files on Zoom TV tonight.
It follows the rise of young Sanjay, with his fixation for drugs, cars, women and the fast life, much before the lad actually made an impact in Bollywood. He chose to fight against his addiction by going to a rehab centre in the US, where he says he spent his best years. But, soon after re-entering Bollywood, Dutt fell prey to controversies involving illegal arms acquisition. Here his emotional endurance was put to test again.
