Rivalry between Dashaavatharam & Shivaji

There has always been criticism that most of the Indian film artistes generously indulge in what is popularly known as over action. Not many know that even producers indulge in some sort of over action, particularly hiking the cost of production.
For example, it is believed that Rjinikanth was paid Rs 20 cr for Sivaji, while director Shankar received a remuneration of Rs 6 cr. The total cost of production was believed to be around Rs 40 cr. The total business of Sivaji was about Rs 80 cr. However, there were leaks to the media that the business of Sivaji was around an astounding Rs 120 cr.
Now, there was not much of information about the cost of production of Kamal Hasan’s Dashaavatharam. However, according to the usually reliable inside sources, the producers of this film are said to be hell bent upon getting at least a mite more than what Sivaji could get.
Thus, the Telugu dubbing rights of Sivaji were given for Rs 14 cr. And so the Dashaavatharam rights are being offered at Rs 14 cr plus. Even a few grand rupees plus appear to be okay. Thus, the rivalry seems to be more on a sentimental note, that too just for a few rupees more. Similar is the case with satellite and overseas rights. Isn’t this a case of over action, obviously?
Meanwhile, It is being said that in the 10 different get ups of Kamal Hasan in Dashaavatharam, even the editor of the film could not identify or recognise Kamal in his various costumes.
The trillion rupee question is, will this costumed obscurity of Kamal’s avatarams a plus point for Dasaavatharams? Or will the audience feel deceived that there has been no Kamal Hasan in the film as advertised? Because, he cannot be recognised in his different costumes?
